The process behind my artwork remains consistent across all my pieces, serving as the foundation for my creative journey. It all starts with folding paper after i like the shape i start sketching my designs. To further develop the design, I employ two different tools that each offer a unique perspective. Firstly, I utilize a kaleidoscope app on my iPhone, which allows me to find new patterns and intricacies that enhance my compositions. Secondly, I explore light fractions created by crystals and glass in my home, finding inspiration in their play of shimmering reflections.
Once the initial design has taken shape and my vision is clear, I move on to constructing with wood sheets or masonite from scratch. most pieces start with a deep base or red, in the past few years i have played around with bright bases to add new prospective. This solid backdrop serves as a stage on which the vibrant holographic colors will truly shine.
With the frames ready, I begin the meticulous process of transferring my design onto the surface. Utilizing chalk, I draw the intricate lines and shapes, making sure every detail is captured. Once I am confident in the final design, I retrace the chalk lines with the utmost precision, using acrylic paint to make the design pop with boldness.
Now comes the transformative step that brings the magic to life. using gold leaf & holographic material, I skillfully transfer the plastic foil or leaf, carefully ensuring that each piece adheres flawlessly and seamlessly. This process adds depth, dimension, and an ethereal quality to my artwork, captivating the viewer's gaze.
while giving the art a different color no matter where you stand. To complete the piece and provide a protective layer, I apply a coating of art resin. This final step not only seals in the design, but also enhances the visual impact of the holographic effects, creating a stunning and durable finished artwork.
